Apolline Rajaonarivo is a Swiss illustrator and comic book author whose work explores childhood memories and issues young generations face in an uncertain future. She loves to experiment with screen-printing.
Her work often combines playful experimentation with intimate reflection, creating images that resonate with personal memory and broader societal questions.

She earned her Diploma in Comics and Illustration in ESBDI ( 2019-2021) and then her Bachelor’s degree in Illustration at HEAD Geneva (2021–2023). She's currently pursuing a two-year Master’s in Comics at ESA St-Luc in Brussels (2024–2026). During this time, she has developed a diverse artistic practice, experimenting with printmaking, bookbinding, and narrative storytelling in both personal and commissioned projects.
Alongside her studies, Apolline runs an online vintage shop on Instagram (Fripeuses) and organizes comic workshops for children and adults in her hometown of La Tour-de-Peilz, at BDFIL, and through UNIPOP Riviera. She is also the communications manager for her theater association "6ème acte" where she teaches summer camp for children.
In 2025, she began her Master’s thesis, exploring the love-hate relationship comic book authors have with Instagram. She continues to explore her artistic practice, especially in print techniques and bookmaking, which remain areas she seeks to master in the coming years.
